Imagine my surprise
when Donald Trump's personal party planner
chose my gourmet chocolate
covered fortune cookies to go on each
and every place setting at his $500 a plate
fundraiser.
Here's how it happened...
On October 29, 2004,
the phone rang. On the other end was one
of Donald Trump's personal party planners.
Not explaining who she was or what the event
was, she simply quickly said she needed
our fortune cookies
FAST, in 6 days! There was a slight problem,
however. The problem was we were swamped
with orders for Chinese New Year.
I told my order department
to tell the person we were sorry, but we
could not do her order in two days because
it was Chinese New Year and we had lots
of orders in front of her. That's when she
quickly told my assistant, "Tell Mike I
met him at the Feltenstein party and I loved
his fortune cookies there and these are
for this weekend's Donald Trump fundraiser
at his Mar-A-Lago Resort and Personal Estate."

from this amazing event. The one on the
left is a picture of me soaking up the atmosphere.
The photo on the right shows the actual
fortune cookie dessert platter that was
served to all the guests--complete with
tropical flower and white chocolate drizzle!
